GySgt (retired) Ochoa His first day in boot camp was the Marine Corps Birthday 1972.  He served till May 31, 1993 when he retired.  During this time he did tours in California, Arizona, South Korea, Philippines, and Saudi Arabia.  He served 13 months aboard ship as part of the 31st MEU staff.  He also did a tour as one of only two Marines at NORAD/Space Command where he served as First Sergeant of NORAD's first deployable unit. Since retiring he has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Northern Colorado and a Masters of Arts Degree from the University of Colorado - Boulder. He is near completion of a second Masters degree.  He has taught from Kindergarten to University level, and currently is a ESL Teacher in Brighton.
